meh. the juxtaposition would be more effective if there wasn't so much whining in the teacher's day. It just dripped with sympathy.

How about we compare a teacher's day with that of a laborer of a small excavating company, one that doesn't offer health care? Let's see how grading quizzes and answering angry emails is offset by shoveling stone and laying pipe. The summer that the teacher has off is offset with the downtime of construction workers in winter, too.


Consider me unimpressed as well... The minute level of detail in which the teacher's day was recounted made me half expect to see:
2:14:38 - Teacher inhales2:14:41 - Teacher exhales
