Do folks remember the "Arab Spring?" The babes of democracy? The "Was Bush Right?" articles?

My how far we've fallen...

No, and for the same reason I don't remember a single, 'considered' analysis of the Bush administration's thinking between spring '02 and the US invasion: if I want to read fiction, I go to the library.

I only wish that the media elite remembered those stories, too many of them are credulous of the Bush administrations latest claims of success, just like they were then.

Its hard to know how to understand and evaluate an administration's thinking when the spin or lie of the day is all that's offered by folks who never reveal their 'stratgegy' and agenda.

Sometimes I think that the subterfuges (policy statements) are designed to make everyone cynical because they will be reversed, re-spun, or ignored - thus increasing the signal to noise ratio. Cynicism among the public seems to be their objective. That allows them to do just what they damn well please.

I, for one, remain pro whiskey, democracy, sexy.

You gloomy gusses aren't going to discourage my belief in magical babealiciousness as a weapon of human freedom.

Democracy babes are so 2005. Now it's all about Our Glorious Leader and his steely-eyed intransigence, er, determination!
