Yes. Yes. A Thousand Times Yes.

That stick figure doesn't understand you. I'll totally be your friend.

Ezra, are you checking xkcd right after midnight on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays? That makes me happy.

Posted by: Neil the Ethical Werewolf | Jun 27, 2007 1:24:24 AM

Yes, but Ezra who will be your friend? And why are assuming s/he wants you as a friend?

jacqueline - I don't know if the "sage" pun was intentional, but it sure is great.

thanks, minipundit...it was in appreciation for all of the savory comments here!

Humor should be handled gingerly, particularly if you want to curry favor with your readers.

litbrit...

i agree.
occasionally, the commenters can be a bit chile,
occasionally a comment can be a bit of a dilly...
sometimes, one may think the words might come from a basilisk...
others might respond with a poison arrowroot...
but, you, litbrit, are our saffron, clove and lavender!
so i say,
cumin, dear readers,
and enjoy the bouquet garni!

If I was a real A-list blogger, or even a real Z-list blogger, I'd have snappy comebacks at the tip of my tongue. Perhaps even a reference to marjoram, which wouldn't be easy at all.

...

Guess I don't have the zest after all.
