Branding Advice
Some blog should appropriate the chorus from The Coup's "Laugh/Love/F***" for their tagline. "I'm here to laugh, love, fuck and drink liquor/and help the damn revolution come quicker."
Sounds like Pandagon to me...
The Coup's new album, "Pick a Bigger Weapon," is fantastic, by the way. One of the best hip-hop cd's I've picked up in years.
Update: And who can deny the essential genius of a song called BabyLetsHaveABabyBeforeBushDoSomethingCrazy? And yes, that's also the chorus, sung in a throaty soul whisper by Silk E.

Except that The Coup doesn't suck and (post-Ezra) Pandagon does.

"Throaty soul whisper"...? Dude... nobody says that stuff out loud

And I didn't. I wrote it.

Maybe, except the post Ezra pandagon sucks.
I'll have to check out this Coup album you speak of.

I always knew I had a doppleganger.

You do know that whenever you mention pandagon, it's just an opportunity for your lesser commenters to tee off on their betters don't you?

I thought The Coup's "Pimps" was pretty damn funny (and informative!)

Bulldykes and feminists.
It's a tough ol' world out there, ain't it. Jedmunds?

Fred, if you'd stop posting in haikus, I might find it a little easier to follow you.

I love it. And are the good cop/bad cop conservatives in here actually being so stupid as to suggest that Ezra's not fond of the laughing/fucking/drinking sector of progressive politics? Oh, you dumb bunnies.

I've never understood how conservatives manage to hold in their heads the two ideas that A) liberals are a bunch of policy nerds (Gore for an example) don't know how to have any relax and have fun, as opposed to Republicans like Bush, who people like as a person and would want to have a beer with, and B) liberals are a bunch of wastrels and libertines who drink and debauche, as opposed to Republicans like Bush, who are sober, mature adults who'd never think of letting their hair down and rocking.

You poor, dumb bunny, assuming that everyone who finds your blog inane is a "conservative."
Amanda, I'm part of the laughing/drinking/fucking sector of progressive politics. I just happen to think that Pandagon sucks, specifically because of you.
Posted by: Jimmmmm | May 21, 2006 6:59:06 PM
That's an easy one, NBarnes. If a given liberal is stiffer than the conservative who's writing, liberals are a bunch of nanny state wonks who no one wants to have a beer with. If a given liberal is looser, on the other hand... you get the picture.
