This is pretty awesome. Red State poster goes on long-winded rant about how Democrats don't know the Constitution. Gets Constitution wrong. Has to apologize. Red Stater looks like an idiot. Oh -- sorry to be redundant (because, as Leon showed, that joke is so good it needs to be used multiple times in each post).

This is just brilliant. Leon H. at Red State went on a long rant about domestic spying and how liberals don't understand the Constitution. Only to be corrected on his own glaring misunderstanding of said document, and subsequently apologizes. Let's... [Read More]

pathetic. But we knew that. Have we reached the BTKWB? threshold (bind torture and kill wilfred brimley on monday night football? Apparently not. ONce again bush's partisans remain convinced, despite all evidence to the contrary, that bush and his cronies will only gather and use information on "bad guys" and not on political enemies. Literally everything that we know about bush and rove indicates that this is not the case but even if it were the case bush and rove and, indeed, the red state hysterics have spent years insisting that the political opposition in this country (the "moonbats" the "leftists" and everyone who ever considered voting democratic) are, in fact, enemies on a par with, if not identical to, terrorists. Forgive me if I don't find that a reassuring fact.

These red state posters are sickening in their craven willingness to sacrifice the constitution to their temporary, frat boy god and their hysterical war on everything-that-bush-says-is-bad-today.

Wow. What a strange twisted universe they live in! I think the anonymity of the internet makes them all try to "one-up" each other and be the biggest "libberul" basher of them all. Gross.

In yet another sign of defining honor downward, I have to give the dude credit for admitting a screw-up (and then of course weaselling it). It's rare on that side. They make their own reality

I can't think of any way that the RedStaters (and those of their ilk) can mentally justify clear unlawful behavior by the President, knowing that someday (maybe SOON!) a President of the Democratic Party might be in the White House, UNLESS they think that the Republicans, by hook or crook, will be the permanent Presidential majority party.

Do they know something we don't know? Is the '08 election already foretold as a Republican 'victory'?

Why wouldn't it be a forgone conclusion? We've already got our perpetual war.

You forget how many of them see "bad guys" and "political enemies" as one and the same.

Wow, a bunch of terrified monarchists, that's what I saw over at RedState. They fear our freedom, I guess.

What’s really funny to me is that anyone who didn’t sleep through the basic 11th grade civics course (admittedly, most people did) knows that Article one is all about congress. Indeed, if you Google “US Constitution” and look at the first result, you get This, which states: “Table of Contents

* Preamble
* Article I - The Legislative Branch”

Which means not only is someone not remembering well, or reading closely, they’re not reading at all...

Give DonSF some credit for trying to make his point on the legality of the NSA wiretaps. The guy stuck with it against all the posters who kept repeating 'well the AG says it is legal so its legal.' Good for him.
