Ah, I missed some of that from the linked posts. Now it just confuses people who don't speak American.
(It's a cool blog, but I have to say that I hate the Bee, just as I hate Scrabble, for the reason I love cryptic crosswords. It's not as awful as Scrabble, because it requires some degree of etymological knowledge, but it's still all about words and not language.)
