What Rush Limbaugh Knows About Pussy
Shakes here...
My cat—here's how you can get fooled. My cat comes to me when she wants to be fed. I have learned this. I accept it for what it is. Many people in my position would think my cat's coming to me because she loves me. Well, she likes me, and she is attached, but she comes to me when she wants to be fed. And after I feed her—guess what—she's off to wherever she wants to be in the house, until the next time she gets hungry. She's smart enough to know she can't feed herself. She's actually a very smart cat. She gets loved. She gets adoration. She gets petted. She gets fed. And she doesn't have to do anything for it, which is why I say this cat's taught me more about women, than anything my whole life. (Link.)
Including his three ex-wives, none of whom evidently managed to successfully impart that being offered a bowl of tuna by a horny hillbilly heroin junky, reeking of cigar smoke and sporting a chemically-induced hard-on, isn’t technically foreplay. One suspects that Rush’s idea of The Perfect Woman includes a Pavlovian response to the sound of the can opener.
In all seriousness, I’m continually amazed by the disgusting slurs about sex, gender, and sexuality people like Rush Limbaugh can still get away with, without any fear of serious consequences. “Macaca” can end a senator’s career. “Wicked Witch” is business as usual.

Well, first he's self employed and doesn't really care what the left thinks. Secondly, it's not unlawful for him to make comments that you mine for offensiveness. And thirdly, why is sex, hender and sexuality somehow off limits for comment and criticism? I would imagine many, many rich men like Rush experience women differntly than Neil the broke-dick typist.

Cute.

Oh. My. God.
This must leave every reasonable person wondering if and why the hell any self-concious woman would want to consider this jerk as a partner.

I get your point, and I generally agree with it, but I think the situation's more complicated than what you're saying. I don't think the "macaca" remark from Limbaugh would have ended HIS career; he's said many things similar to that over the years. In fact, he's paid (very well) to do so. The "macaca" remark coming from Allen was different, partly because the context made it clear that Allen was really a racist, but mostly because the American public (fortunately) holds political candidates to a higher standard than it does talk-radio hosts. Obviously we'd be better off if they held radio hosts to a higher standard also, but I'd much rather have offensive radio personalities than successful racist politicians.

Guy: You see, this ("horny hillbilly...")is what Ezra says about all men by nature, this is what all men are like, according to our blog host.
Really, if you can't see the difference between an individual (and well earned and evidence based) insult and a statement that slurs a whole class of people based on a stereotype (that in itself is the product of the unequal relations of a patriarchal, yeah it still is one, society), then you are a logic-challenged, blog-comments-space wasting idiot.

Rebecca's obviously correct that "macaca" wouldn't have ended, or even harmed, Limbaugh's career. His racist comments over the years have been as bad or worse. I do suspect a politician could get away with sexist comments a lot more easily than racist ones, as could any number of public figures.
Secondly, it's not unlawful for him to make comments that you mine for offensiveness.
Good point, Fred. It appears that Shakes agrees with you, as she apparently edited her post to remove the call for Limbaugh to be imprisoned over this.

Well, first he's self employed and doesn't really care what the left thinks.
Rush works for Premier Radio Networks, a division of Clear Channel. He is not "self employed."

Um, Ezra didn't write the post to which you refer.

...remove the call for Limbaugh to be imprisoned over this...
She would like to,and so would you. All you have to do is get that hate speech bill through and we'll all be in prison.

I don't think Shakes would want Rush to be imprisoned over this. Having met and spent time with her, I think she'd probably want, as I do, to see him at least investigated--and if found guilty, imprisoned--for various criminal activities in which he has engaged: illegal possession/ingestion of vast amounts of Schedule II Controlled Substances; doctor-shopping; and sex tourism, which act(s) remain uninvestigated but are nonetheless pointed to by no small amount of probable cause (possession of improperly and illegally-labeled Viagra by a known drug-abuser who was supposed to be complying with a plea agreement that kept him out of jail for the former drug charges; returning with said illicit pills after a trip to a known sex-tourism destination.)

(Sorry, I did not mean to state that the initial Oxycontin possession was uninvestigated--it was. That's when the plea deal was struck.)

Awesome.

Women=whores is not the same as Rush Limbaugh=douchebag. Sorry.

Let's face it, Missy, it's not the drugs that feeds your hate of Mr. Limbaugh, it's the exercise of his free speech and what it does to you proposed agenda. This hate you foster for someone that you really don't know shows how effective he is in combating the moonbattery of the left.

Bear with Fred, like most of his sexist ilk, he is still incapable of distinguishing censorship from counterspeech.
Fred--
Gender and sexuality aren't off-limits. Say it all you want, but don't get pissy when someone tells you that your comments reveal you to be a sexist prick. Do you wish to defend Rush's comments -- women bring you affection only when they want something? Evidently so, since you regard anyone who wants to "experience" women as equals as a "broke dick." Masculinity = contempt for women. Got that? Think woman sleep with people other than for money? You are a broke dick. Want to let your woman work outside the home? Pansy. Concerned at the incidence of rape? Pussy.
So, the next time Fred takes a position purporting to champion equality, and accuses feminists of simply inverting gender inequality, we should remember that he defends the notion that women are whores. Also don't forget that the next time Toke says anything from any perspective other than a sadistic Nazi fuck, we can remember that he said we should count him as one who laughs and laughs at prison rape.

"One suspects that Rush’s idea of The Perfect Woman"
My idea of the perfect woman: She is three and a half feet tall and has a flat head. So I can put my drink down.
How long will it be before someone comes out with See?! See?! That proves Toke is a sexist! Ban Him! Ban Him!

"a horny hillbilly heroin junky, reeking of cigar smoke and sporting a chemically-induced hard-on"
Criticize Rush's sexism, but where is your sensitivity to those in the recovery community?
Posted by: Captain Toke | Dec 3, 2006 5:23:38 PM
Hey there Captain T.! I've missed you.
I don't think you're a sexist; if you like really tiny women, I can only imagine it has something to do with their ability to make you--or parts of you--appear relatively large in comparison.
I do think you're unoriginal (not to mention terribly unfunny) today, though. And you forgot the part about the 3-foot woman turning into a pizza when she was finished with, um, you.
Posted by: litbrit | Dec 3, 2006 5:25:17 PM
Also don't forget that the next time Toke says anything from any perspective other than a sadistic Nazi fuck...
That disqualifies this wack-job right there.
Next!

Several years ago when she was still doing stand-up, Joy Behar had a routine titled "Top 10 Reasons Why Rush Limbaugh Can't get Laid."
Among them were:
Not willing to date outside his species.
Lassie said no.
Most women don't find book burnings to be romantic.
I guess they were wrong on the first one.

Heh. That coming from what, just another European who chooses to live in America. Great call, but honey, also not original. Place is full of 'em.

Jones-
So your argument is that calling someone a sadistic nazi fuck makes you a sadistic nazi fuck? Even if they are express advocates of rape? Or something else I said makes me a sadistic nazi fuck?
Not self evident.
