Obligatory Personal Post
I haven't been blogging much lately because I've been at a philosophy convention for the last few days, but I owe you guys an answer to last week's puzzly meme thing. As Ezra, Minipundit, and others surmised, Cate Edwards didn't go to Enloe High School with me -- she actually went to crosstown rival Broughton. 1, 3, 4, and 5 are true.
In other news, the good folk at Unfogged know how to throw one heck of a party.

You went to Enloe, huh? Quality. I went to Governor's School with a lot of Enloe (and Broughton) kids.

Yeah! It's a great place. I think we ranked 41st in the nation in AP exams taken per student at one point. Incidentally, last night I ran into old Enloe friend Ryan Avent at the Unfogged party.

It should be noted that this man can dance like none other.
Good to meet you.

Never been to the APA, but I've heard it's quite a meat market, as other professional association meetings often are too, I'm told. Too bad, in a way, that the exchange of knowledge is so mixed with competition for the exchange of money and such. Seems you've implied that your meat has already been sold, so to speak, so maybe you can enjoy the meetings more than some do. If not, I suggest some fire eating to enliven things.
Glad to know that we have no reason to suspect your Edwards support is really a girl thing. Though, on reflection, I'm not sure it would bother me if it were.

"philosophy convention"- Is that what they call drunken orgies these days, where you post your nipples on the internet?

Great. Now Ann Althouse is going to get mad at you for "using breasts for extra attention".

I kept quiet on this one. If were Class of 97, you would have been in Wade's class (which you probably would have mentioned) and Cate would have been a freshman when you were a senior. Freshman at Broughton could not take AP classes.

True or False (about Neil): I spent so much time on my knees that they're a little sore.

Good grief, Elizabeth, could you be any cooler?
Well, maybe if you could eat fire like Neil. But that's about it.

Let's all say it together. Elizabeth is awesome.
Happy New Year.

I thought that couldn't possibly be the real Elizabeth Edwards since her email domain's web incarnation is so spammy. But whois reports it as belonging to John Edwards of the US Senate. (There's something fishy about this phone number, though: +1.202518877. Do senators get six-digit numbers?)

I didn't realize you were from NC too, Neil. Or did I and was just too drunk by that point in the evening to remember the conversation?

Jim, one of my dances involves me getting in the lotus position and toddling around on my knees. It takes much balance and can cause bleeding if done too often on a hard floor. But it always gets big approval from the crowd.
I didn't think I told you about NC at the party, apostropher. Certainly I don't remember you saying that you were from there.

Yeah, I drove up from Durham for the party. We are legion.
