Booooo!
Not only was Cheney thunderously booed while throwing out the Nats first pitch, but he stood a good couple of yards in front of the mound and still managed to bathe the ball in dirt. Additionally, Cheney visited the team's locker room before the game, motivating them to lose their opener, 7-1.
Now I'm not saying it was a metaphor for an administration that's wildly unpopular and finding they have the anti-Midas touch, but one could conceivably look at it that way.

I think it's also appropriate that the picture MSNBC has of Cheney looks like he's giving a little Sieg Heil.

He doesn't need to worry about bullets. Wooden stakes, garlic and crucifixes, yes, but I don't think they make vests for that.

Maybe Verison's add campaign should be replicated by the Dems and Independents: We can't hear you!
A nationwide issuance of ear plugs seems in order in order to preserve our minds from Bush-speak and Cheny-speak, and also to preserve our precious bodily essences - which are clearly under attack since they need them for the Iran War yet to come.

I just find it really hilarious that Mister Big Manly Tough Guy Cheney can't even make it to the plate.
